ARTIST ROSTER - POETRY
Mary Joan Meagher Bloomington
For 20 years I have worked with older adults by producing and writing the scripts for "The Time of Our Lives Show." It is produced by the Bloomington Public Schools Community Education. It has been shown on 30 Cable Access stations throughout Minnesota, Wisconsin and Iowa. The mission of the “The Time of Our Lives” Television project is to: Inspire our audience, as well as the volunteers, with the joy of life, and with a feeling of increased self-esteem. To provide older adults with opportunities for diversity across generational and ethnic lines, with information on a variety of subjects and resources for this age group, and with social opportunities in the wider community. To empower older adults with lifelong learning opportunities and a sense of ownership of the project. Now I am involved in my own personal activities: poetry, writing, watercolor painting. sewing handbags, and speaking engagements. I would like to inspire others to follow their dreams and to keep creating. |
