ARTIST ROSTER - DRAWING

Brent Casey

I studied fine art and art history, and completed my bachelor's degree in art. With a psychology minor, I also studied the psychology of art and how art can be a healing experience for both the body and mind. Most of my studio experience is in two-dimensional art (drawing, painting, collage, mixed media, etc.), but I love all types of creative expression and love learning about new methods, emerging artists, rediscovered methods and artists, foreign countries and native artwork, indigenous people, and creative expression. Any spare time finds me attending musical events, theatrical performances, gallery openings, retrospectives, and the like.

I am deeply moved by artistic expression, whether I am the creative force or an observer. If I can help others understand and/or feel moved by art, then I feel successful. I get excited about teaching art to older adults. I enjoy spending time with the young and the old and the in-between. I believe older adults in our culture should be celebrated for their vision and their drive, their energy and their optimism. Everyone has something to share.
