"I am a retired college voice instructor who continues to teach in my private studio. I have sung professionally for 30 years in the Metro Area and throughout the country. I am an active performer with musical groups in the Twin Cities, with bachelor and master's degrees as my training. Accompanied by my pianist, I have brought programs to delight many senior citizens over the years. Sharing the joy of music has always been my mission."
Bio: Marian Hoffman, soprano, is an active recitalist and oratorio soloist throughout the Midwest. She has soloed and recorded with the Minnesota Chorale, the Bach Society and the Dale Warland Singers. She has sung with the Minnesota Opera and her performances for the Schubert Club have been broadcast over Minnesota Public Radio. As an active artist with Thursday Musical, she performs regularly. She has been featured soloist with the Minneapolis Civic Orchestra, Venice Florida Symphony, as well as other local orchestral groups. She has been professional soloist and section leader at Westminster Presbyterian Church, Minneapolis, for 30 years. She taught college voice for 18 years and now maintains a private studio. She has been a judge for the Metropolitan Opera district Auditions, MMTA, Schubert Club, and Thursday Musical auditions and competitions. She is an active member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing, Sigma Alpha Iota (International Music Fraternity for Women) and Thursday Musical.
