I graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1970 with a degree in Art Education. I spent 4 years in Australia teaching high school art and returned to Minnesota to do hospice care for my father. Since 1981 I have been doing art shows and substitute teaching as well as teaching classes through community education.

I think it's fun to play with lines, shapes, surfaces and colors. Art is like most stuff--the more you do it the better you get. And the more people I can share that with, the more fun it is. I really just want to be a facilitator. So much of the art experience is setting aside the time, gathering materials, and finding the space, with just a bit of direction in using the tools for individual exploration.

Awards : I have had drawings, paintings and sculptures win awards at the fine arts exhibit at the Minnesota State Fair; but probably my greatest accomplishment is maintaining a sense of humor without finding a market.
