Tales From a Trunk St. Paul
Before working as the Memory Care Coordinator at St. Therese Southwest’s Terraces assisted living accommodations in Hopkins, Minnesota, I worked full time in the theater profession for 27 years. Inspired by the lack of creative and engaging activities that seemed to be available for my mother, who had dementia and was living in a facility in Colorado, I created Tales from a Trunk, a series of one-woman interactive, sensory-stimulating performances especially designed for persons with memory loss. I occasionally perform these pieces outside of St. Therese. Tales from a Trunk performances include folk tales, holiday, and Shakespeare stories. |
