I am a local Twin Cities freelance musician, pianist, arranger-composer, and music theorist. Though my musical background and instincts are primarily classical, I also play a great deal of Broadway show music and related styles.

My general activity is as an accompanist for vocal solo, choral, and small instrumental ensemble. For example, I have served in area high schools as an accompanist and coach for individual band and choir students; performed in a number of Thursday Musical home concerts in a piano duo and other groupings; performed in a vocal piano duo for many senior residences (assisted living, nursing homes, and similar facilities); performed at certain therapeutic facilities and at senior birthday parties, anniversary parties, wedding receptions, et cetera.

Educational degrees include: University of Minnesota, Bachelor of Arts, December 1966; Northwestern University, Masters in Music, December 1968; University of Minnesota, Doctorate, June 1975, major in music theory/composition with minor in art history.
