IN THE NEWS

Best of Times Features MnCAAN
The fall issue of a Twin Cities publication discusses creativity and aging in two articles, both of which highlight the work of MnCAAN.
Challenge Negative Stereotypes About Aging
The Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) program in the Twin Cities has organized The Pretty Good Players, a performing group that gives honest, upbeat presentations about aging. They want to lessen the public's fear of aging and dispel negative stereotypes about older adults.
Got Yarn To Share?
What happens when a young child comes to school without a hat or mittens on a freezing day? If they're lucky, the teacher will hand them a gift from the Marvelous Mitten Makers. Creativity and kindness are the mix that make this happen.
Older Theatre Pros Create Show with Aging Themes
A group of well-known theatre professionals in the Twin Cities, all past 65, staged a play about some of their common concerns and desires, ranging from 'regularity' to invisibility to fear of nursing homes.
