First Campaign Kickoffs a Big Success
Creativity clearly matters for older Minnesota in and around Alexandria, Virginia, Mankato, Marshall, and Willmar. Dozens of professionals and community members showed up at each of these locations to say so during MnCAAN campaign kickoffs this fall.

The Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) program in the Twin Cities has organized The Pretty Good Players, a performing group that gives honest, upbeat presentations about aging. They want to lessen the public's fear of aging and dispel negative stereotypes about older adults.
Poetry — Golden Age Expression
Mary Lawson, former director of the Minneapolis Public Library, is now a certified poetry therapist with her own business, 'Golden Age Expressions.' Recently, she spoke about her work and MnCAAN at the University of Minnesota class on older adult education
