PROVIDER PROFILE

Harry Meyering Center

We provide various levels of support, supervision, and care to people who have developmental disabilities, physical disabilities, and mental health issues.  Our service times vary from several hours a week to 24 hours per day.

We have several ongoing classes and clubs such as craft club and frequent craft events open to all.  We have a group who have retired, and they frequently engage in painting or crafts.  There is a group that have gotten into gardening and now are cooking and baking with their produce.  About 30 of the people we serve have joined the AKTION Theatre troupe, supported by the Downtown Kiwannis club. We regularly have live music performers that come as well. We are creating a commemorative garden and so will expand the gardening opportunities next year.
